My sister got married recently in lahore, in september 2009. She got ready from allenora.
She looked beautiful but about a week later, we went to another wedding and the bride there had gotten ready from allenora too. I was quite shocked to see that her makeup was EXACTLY the same as my sister's!! Even though her dress colours were alot different than my sister's dress. So I looked up a few more allenora brides on the internet and they ALL had the same look!
They charged 16000 for one day because my sis got ready from an assistant, its something like 40000 if the owner does it herself. I can't remember the charges of other things. A day before the wedding I had to go with my sister to the allenora salon in lahore to get a "BRIDAL SERVICE". It sounds very professional but the idiots really disappointed me! All my sister got was some facial and threading of the eyebrows, one of which ended up looking different than the other eyebrow! She was supposed to get a full body wax but it turned out they had ran out of wax! Thay made us wait for 1 hour or so and then we got really impatient, demanded our money back and left.
I don't know what the hell it is about pakistani "professionals" but they are all jerks! They have no tameez! Their attitude is UNREAL! They think they know it all. They will always look down on you! I was about to burst with anger by the time I had come out of the allenora salon! They were so rude!! I've heard the same kind of things on paklinks about other makeup artists, designers, photographers etc etc.
WHY cant these people act like professionals? Show some respect for the customer. The customer is supposed to be everything for them, and yet they treat you like s***!
The owner of allenora just couldn't stop boasting!! "Mein professor hun, retired! America se b courses kie hue hain! My salon is among this among that... " aargghhh!!!! I swear I'll go crazy if i meet such arrogant people when i'm preparing for my wedding. I'll show them "chaand sitaare" !!!
Anyways.... girl, all i can say to you is .. DO expect such rudeness from these people. The makeup turned out nice on my sister but it didnt suit the other bride at all. They makeup look is repeated over and over again. So if you're looking for something different, dont go to allenora coz they're very repetitive!
In the end, I just try to console myself that my sister looked gorgeous. But the whole experience with allenora, (or dress designers or tent people etc etc etc) didnt go great at all in pakistan! sighhhh....
