nice shift from poke to puke ha ha
chavy, not picking on you (your posts just make me reply
), but nothing wrong with stimulating debate. getting that rusty ol brain working. people took offence with the words she used. “feeling sorry” as if the “older” women aren’t human beings, but are a mutated animal, that you can’t really kill, but have to feel sorry for. there is a valid point to her argument, but did she really have to use those words? i mean, come on, you have a brain. sit back for a moment and think.
again makes me feel sorry for little girls who get married so young and don’t really have the life experience to address or talk to anyone else properly.
when i used to be little younger, like few years before, and whenever i saw any young girls of ages like 19-20 or so getting married, that’s what i used to feel..feeling like kinda sorry…
Re: OK, Ok- I'm sorry
Something I'm reminded of:
Three of my friends got married when they were 14, 16 and 17.
Last month my best friend got married and it was a mini reunion for all of us and man, I couldn't believe they were the same age as me. Their kids were running around, calling them Mummmah mummah and I was like whoa...
Re: OK, Ok- I'm sorry
What do even do when you get married at 14? That is young!!!
Re: OK, Ok- I'm sorry
^You know, I have few female doc. in my family. I have heard them talking how girls are not physically mature to give birth at that age.
There is a group/caste in pakistan who are know to do that.
Re: OK, Ok- I'm sorry
One of my grandmothers (cousins' grandma) was married at 14 and the tradition ended there. She was just too young and it showed in every aspect of her life.
Re: OK, Ok- I'm sorry
there are advantages and disadvantages both ways... but we shouldnt feel sorry for either one.. its people's choice (or their parents) and we should just respect that. Simple :)
I know womenwho got married young.. some marriages lasted and some didnt.. and same goes for women who married later in their life.. it all depends on your maturity level and how you make things work.. age is just a number (isnt that what we established in another thread?)
