I hv heard like this:
MAY CONTAINS PORK!!I read the oil of olay company does not guarantee that their products are free from pork by-products. so they may not be suitable for muslim consumers. for examle read it on this website: http://www.muslimconsumergroup.com/Events.do?menu=Events&eventAction=eventdetail&eventId=467
does any body have any more information on this?

I have never heard of this but here are my personal thoughts:

1. I’m not very religious so excuse my ignorance on this…I know we’re not supposed to eat pork…but is there anything in Islam (Quran or Hadith) that specifically forbids us from using products that MIGHT contain a miniscule amount of some pig part?

2. Even IF the product had something from a pig…and if that makes it “haraam”…then shouldn’t this logic be applied to products containing alcohol? How many products do Muslims use daily that contains a TINY amount of alcohol?

3. When I clicked on the link…it didn’t work for me.

4. I don’t use Oil of Olay personally but my mom (and all the other women in my family) do.
