Re: Official confusion over Lahore siege - Was it Staged?
The Indians were confused for three days.......the operation was declared over a number of times before it was finaly over......In Taj there were conflicting reports about the number of people. No one really knows how many people really attacked the academy for a number of reasons. A couple of them arrested yesterday from Nishtar colony were apparently injured. There could be more who managed to escape. Then there were those who killed themselves in the blast then there might be few who in police uniforms either got killed or got away. Similarly the talk of hostage cadets of the academy may well be their accomplices in police uniform. There is definitely incompetence but in this age of intense media scrutiny no one I am sure want to stick their necks out and give details.
The attack might be stage managed by the security authorities to win back the confidence of the public after it took a severe beating due to the attack on the Srilankan team.
Govt's confusion over the saga shows its incompetence, in no way indicates govt staging the attack.
They look like an idiot, when talking to media. Why act so casual about these tragic events.
Plain pathetic, and indeed shows incompetence. They should know that we are not living in 80's or 90's anymore. When you utter something, media is taking notes.
Re: Official confusion over Lahore siege - Was it Staged?
^ Correct.
Why can't our security agencies use latest technology for security? Use Google Earth paid for copy to monitor the areas LIVE, esp if there is an attack they could simply track people going in/out/around. In case of Sri Lankan team attack the culprits just walked off after the attack, height of incompetence I'd say.
It is height of incompetence, not because the government failed to protect.
It is height of incompetence, because it does not seem that they tried.
It is height of incompetence, because it doesn't seem that they care.
I know Government is not our enemy, our enemies are the millitants. It would be comforting to know that government has a plan or they are trying something. So far all we see is blank clueless face of Rehman Malik. Thats not gonna cut it.
Use of hitech equipments may be a long shot, knowing the kind of money government has. They are sure having hard time to provide basic necessities to public. Still there are expectations and government needs to deliver at some front. People did not elect PPP for lip service.
