When the operation took place some news came out that Pakistani intelligence officials has asked the people of the surrounding areas to stay indoors and the electricity was turned off. This was hushed up later…
The fact remains that obl was of no utility to anyone when he was killed. Pakistani army would have preferred to get his killing attributed to a drone strike. With the eventual unravelling of events the generals considered it prudent to take the blame of incompetence as compared to be a party to the alqaeda or the U.S.
