That would be the perfect opportunity to bomb russia and even the ‘reluctant’ Obama couldn’t avoid getting tangled in there. Plus, I doubt that US / turkey would allow russia too much leeway. TOW is already making nice work of the syrian armour (and russian armour next?) and SAMs can be introduced if an imminent russian threat is observed. Of course, it is an irony that in yemen, it is russian TOW type weapons that are making life hell for saudi’s american abram tanks.
