I am pretty sure that no muslim countries have any love for ISIS and have condemned them one way or the other. Even Bill Maher doesn't ask that question so that must be some curry powder thinking going on in there.

That doesn't answer my question. How many Muslim countries have condemned ISIS openly ? I can only think of a few in the immediate area who have been directly targeted by ISIS.

and those countries who "condemn" ISIS haven't actually supported in making of ISIS in one way or the other?

This was a rhetorical question - didn’t really expect you would have an answer. Anyhow, if the original point was why do people perceive ISIS=Islam, the answer is because there is no clear condemnation and an effort to distance themselves from ISIS coming from most Islamic countries.

ISIS terrorists are Muslims, they are killing in the name of Islam, and they aim to establish an Islamic caliphate and people still wonder why the perception that ISIS=Islam exists

Who do you think are fighting them in the battlefield? Are they not Muslims? If you choose to be dumb, then nobody can help you. Trust me, ISIS cannot be defeated without Muslims’ help. In fact, none of these violent factions can be defeated without Muslims’ help. The way you pose this question is similar to the way conservatives do in the US. You are trying to put the moderate Muslims, who are the only ones that can help, in a corner. If the West, or for that matter even India, wants to fight these guys, they need to empower moderate Muslims. ( Obama made this very point and everyone is questioning his patriotism; its pathetic )

The liberals have been consistent. And ahead of the curve. The liberals recognized the Iraq war was constructed on "mistruths". However, majority of people aren't liberals. They are too busy following the herd. And throwing brick bats at liberals.

The liberals/ left may have spoken out about the Iraq war, but they are not totally blameless in all this mess.

when radical preachers were spreading their hate , the left were only too happy to let them do so in the name of free speech. Now they wonder why those impressionable young folk who they preached to, have grown up and gone to join Isis in Syria.
