NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

What an amazing win for the home side and with that have taken the series 2-0 and have also managed to topple Australia from their No.1 spot in the ICC rankings.

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Weren’t australia bench players were supposed to walk in any team in the world despite being not able to make the first team??? Well we know now how shallow these comments were.

This is the THIRD time aussies have lost after scoring well over 300. All in last 12 months.

-scored 332 against NZL last year and still lost. (In same series they scored 320 and won by two runs through last brilliant over by Lee)
-scored 435 against SA and still lost.
-scored 335 against NZL and still lost.

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

SA will be very thankful to pakistan for this…

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Austrailia is going through rough patch. The field placing of Michael Hussey was pathetic. There was no protection on the midwicket side.

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Ross Taylor is such a FINE player. Watched his hundred against SL couple of months ago but today was just special. He is a great replacement for Astle.

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Yes perhaps the Aussies are not as invincible as they used to be. While it may be a good sign for teams like SA and England (who have a better record against Australia than most other teams), it does not necessarily mean that Pakistan can beat Australia. (I know you didn't say that)

We have chronic problems against Australia and SA (it's either psychological fear or lack of mental resilience). Even SLA has a better chance of beating SA as their 21-21 record against them proves

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

^ so you are saying that chances of lightning striking me are more than Pakistan beating Aussies :halo:

what is this denial attitude?

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

I am not in denial. plus you didn’t get my point. We have more of a chance of beating SLA (who have a better chance of beating SA) than SA. I know it is difficult to understand but it’s very true and I put the stats up for you. How-else do you explain our dismal record (14-32) against SA compared to SLA’s (21-21) against the same opposition

How many times has Pakistan beaten Australia or SA in a one-day game in the last 2-3 years? You can probably count on finger tips.

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

Agreed I can count on my finger tips or maybe I need only one finger for that. but the fact you forgot is that, it was the phase that Pakistan team was over-hauled thanks to that BS**D Aamir sohail (who was a selector).
Aussie were missing some key players and now they are merely a team, not a Powerhouse Aussies team:confused:

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

I wonder what champion moaners and whingers England will be saying now :D 'Well NZ beat a half-strength Aussie side in their own backyard while we beat a full-strength team in an away tri-series'

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

For the record this was Australia's fifth one-day international loss from their last six matches :)

Re: NZ vs. AUS 2nd ODI @ Eden Park in Auckland

This was the second-highest successful chase in the history of the one-day game

Interestingly the top three run chases all achieved against Australia and all in the last 15 months.

WI also hold the record for the highest successful 4th innings chase (418-7) in a test against them.
