Styris 3 away from 100
97 from 147 balls
Valliant effort.
Re: NZ V SL
**Sensible batting by NZL
195/7 , 2 overs 2 go

Re: NZ V SL
100 by Styris
Re: NZ V SL
NZ 202/7 off 48.5 overs…Styris 103* :k:
Re: NZ V SL
More like Sensible stuff from Styris, the lone ranger for the black caps. If frankin would not have stuck around they'd be in the pavillion waiting for the SL innings to start.
Re: NZ V SL
wide and four
Re: NZ V SL

Re: NZ V SL
Final score
219/7
Re: NZ V SL
**219/7

Re: NZ V SL
SL need 220 to win...
Re: NZ V SL
Decent score from NZ. And my oh my, I am getting pretty good at this guesstemate stuff. I predicted around 220. And They made 219.
Although the total might prove to be 30 odd runs short.
Re: NZ V SL
^^ I wish Jayasuriya, Tharanga and Silva make 50+...
Tharanga is not doing well in the second round. :(
Re: NZ V SL
this match is irrelevant anyways....
New Zealand is in and if Sri Lanka wins they are also into the Semis
Then it will be up to England and South Africa to fight for the 4th place which most likely South Africa will get
It is true that this match may not make much difference to both teams as far as qualifying for semi final. NZ has almost qualified and SL only needs to win against Ireland to qualify.
Nevertheless, match is relevant. Result could make lot of difference, as that could determine who plays who in semi final. I am sure that Aus, SL and SA, all would like to play semi final against NZ, as it would increase their chance to play final.
Re: NZ V SL
I usually support SL but today i dunno why i want NZ to win. Though 219 as Antumul said would be 30-40 runs too short..

NZ ki aaj bajegi pungi ![]()
Re: NZ V SL
^ Cheegum,
I can't help but feel the same way. Although I want the best team to win, for some reason I want NZ to win today. I guess maybe because of the way they fought it out with Styris leading the way. Something we saw missing in our own team for a better part of the last 4 months.
