NWFP to be renamed says Durrani!

Re: NWFP to be renamed says Durrani!

Hazara is not the real problem, I know Hindkowans from Hazara and other areas of NWFP and they are getting more and more Pashtunised by the generation, they're now more Pashtun than Punjabi.. Some of them are even more staunchly nationalistic to the Pashtun cause than those that have been Pashtun for generations, Shahrukh Khan's family who are Pashtuns of Hindkowan origin/descent are diehard supporters of Pashtun nationalist parties, so they're not the problem..

The real problem in my opnion is the rise of Pashtun nationalism, it wont just end with a name change, Pashtunkhwa will lead to Pashtunistan or Loy-Afghanistan.. I'm from those areas so I know the psychology of the people (had they been a little more liberal I would have been happy for them to seperate from Pakistan but only a united Pak can cater to my needs ;) ).

Look at Turkey, the Kurds are not called Kurds, instead they're reffered to as "mountain Turks", they're not allowed their language they have to speak Turkish.. This in my opinion is good for the unity of a nation, a stronger sense of Pashtun identity for the people of NWFP can spell disaster for Pakistan so we should promote the single Pakistani identity (Urdu language, Punjabi culture) in Pakistan.

I don't know how it's like in Pak but many Pashtun lads including my cousins are identifying more and more with Pashtun over Pakistani and in some cases those that don't have brains and don't know Afghanistan is a Dari country now refer to themselves as Afghan.. Which worries me.

Neutral non-ethnic province names are the way to go, not just for NWFP but also for Baluchistan, the other two province names are not a problem because they're named after rivers.
