Whoever it was planned by, has nothing to do with the severity of the situation.

Sure it does. The people who planned it, from the religous Parties, to the ISI to Musharraf's military are still in control. They will make sure the situation continues to get severe. And there is nothing the people can do about it.

People who live there dont make it a big deal, they know the real deal.

As for those 1000s of miles away, passing judgement, meh, its a big deal for them im guessing.

Do you know people living there? Someone in Pol was reporting hearing news from a family friend that they're sick of the Taleban rule and feel helpless against it. Are you hearing things from relatives living in the Taleban controlled areas?
