Verizon: Its not so much the fear of Israel as it is dislike. Israel is detested for its treatment of palis/lebs an also for messing with Hizbullah, as its supported by Iran. Also for Palestine, its a matter of principle too. You just dont go around encouraging resistance in one place and support an occupation in another do you (unless your america that is).

Still, the problem actually lies with Israel. She cannae seem to handle Iran having nukes an hence becomes all irrational. we dunn see Iran constantly whinging over Israel's nukes do we. They just went ahead an tried to get their own.

it’s like how everyone knew Pakistan had nuked even before the 1998 tests. The testing did not actually change the playing field at all. Sure, some embargoes were placed, but the overall security situation was unchanged. Nuclear war was as likely as it was before.

Actually that is incorrect. The international paradaigm as well as the weight Pakistan and India had in the international arena tripled easily in political capital. They made a major difference in how Pakistan conducts its Foriegn Policy , Economic Policy and Military policy.

And why would NK build nukes? I am confused. What does NK has to do with Israel. I understand the helplessness in Irans case. Israel’s Nukee Plan was quite secretive so no one looked the other way.
BTW Pakistan supports Israels nuclear weapons plan, ofcourse using backchannel diplomacy.

I gotta hand it to the NK regime. Nowthey are keeping the Americans abreast on their Nukee Activities. This morning they briefed I guess the American media, that they have now removed the rods to make more fuel or somehing. Atleast they are co-operating with US in the war on terror, now we dont have to lock our satellites on them, we can concnetrate on riots in Jalalabad, cause they NKs are letting us know their step by step progress.
