Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

I don't like to have a big sehri myself but it's important that you get up and have something. The best way to get around the problem of not being able to sleep after eating is to have a very light iftaar, a late but proper dinner and have a glass of juice or milk, fruits etc. at Sehri. The bottlom line is you do have to get up to say your Fajr prayers so why not wake up just a few minutes earlier and have something to drink atleast because otherwise you are just starving (I am not an expert on this) and not properly fasting

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

for me its tea and it depends on my mood it could be fruits or bread

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri… han?

Dushwari :hoonh: This is for “apni tareef aap” regarding girls being God-fearing and angels etc. :smilestar:

Now, I wake up for sehri and I eat properly (1.5 roti  )with salan and 2 glasses of water. That’s another thing that I am not talking to anyone in the morning because I hate to talk right after I am up. I am sitting there quietly minding my own business and eating, and listening to TV (Quran). My brothers are up and eating normally as well.

So, the conclusion is that only those men that are related to (siblings or friendship) Dushwari are special cases :smilestar:

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

Waking up and eating sehri is not hard for me .... but once i wake up early morning and i have to go to work as well, i can't sleep after that. And thus i get less sleep, and feel sleepy at work. So in week days i don't eat sehri, but on weekends i try to.
No doubt, lucky are those who can eat sehri.

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

u must eat sehre

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

Curious I can relate to your situation. I wake up for sehri, I don't go to sleep after that. I go to work. Yes, I do get less sleep as well because later at night I have to go pray traveeh. What I do is I take my lunch break for an hour and go sleep in my car for that hour. Then I wake up fresh and go back to work. At night, I sleep right after I come home around 10.

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri… han?

dear how it is possible to sleeep in car ?

:mash: taraveh mai kitnah siparah hoo gie ap ki mosque mai ?

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

Put your driving seat flat. Or you can sleep in the back. Obviously it wouldn't be same as sleeping in the luxury of your home, but it'll do it. We are on 8th paara.

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri… han?

not all men are lazy and not all women are god-fearing angels. most men that don’t get up to eat a lot probably becoz they r tired and work very hard. u have to look at a person’s schedule before u can say they r being lazy. for example, i come home late, rite before iftaar, then i am up most of the nite doing hwmk. how can u expect me to be up and excited at 5 in the morning when i went to bed at 3? u said urself that ur friend works 12+ hrs. for me, during the 1st week or so of ramzaan i get up for sehri and am also forced to eat a lot. but after that i do get up, drink water and eat few dates, read namaaz, and go back to sleep. it’s not the sehri that keeps me alive during the day, it’s if i got enuf sleep or not. i can live without eating large amounts of food at sehri. so it’s also upon personal preference. it doesn’t say anywhere that u have to stuff urself in order to get blessings for eating sehri…that’s just our culture talking :bummer:

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri… han?

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri.... han?

Thanks. I have been on schedule and track since my childhood.

Re: Now, why would you not eat at Sehri… han?

Even though officially one can take 1 hr off for lunch, but in our group everybody takes like 1/2 hr -ish break. My job is kinda constant monitoring and acting promptly. So i can’t take 1 hr off … even if i do, there’s some concern involved, because we remain in real-time competition with our rival company. So sleeping/relaxing during work hours is out of question for me
But ur idea good one :k:
