Did you hear that by a special call from Shoaib? ![]()
No I didnt, I got a telegram from the ICC as I use the same forum as an intellectual juggernaut such as yourself-they say its just out of respect for your understanding of the game, that ppl who browse the same sites as you are allowed insider information!
Joker!
This is Mr. DJ speaking.
Pakistani Tiger nailed it down.
Mo,
C’mon man take a joke seriously bud. ![]()
There’s no response from Shoaib personally over this accident. So, wait and watch the drama played by Media ![]()
Mr. DJ Welcome abroad and have fun buddy!
Make sure you won’t end up with nuts. ![]()
nothin gonna happen to him:)
One test match and 3 ODIs should be the punishment if he is found guilty. Our bowling can still beat Zimbabwe with or without Shoaib, plus I want to see M Zahid play again, this might be a golden oportunity for him.

Well, in my defence, it's just a fuss of Media over Shoaib. This has been happening against Shoaib over and over again. Imran Khan Clarified that. First, it was Shoaib's action and now the ball tempering that doesn't make any sense, at least, not to me, all those questions that I have put it on.
Ohhh commmaaan Not Again ![]()
This is getting ugly!
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to decide on whether Shoaib Akhtar should be punished for ball-tampering.
The pace bowler was given a severe reprimand by match referee Clive Lloyd after a hearing on Tuesday evening but no further action is to be taken.
Shoaib took seven wickets in the first Test as Pakistan wrapped up a 119-run victory over Zimbabwe ith a day to spare.
A PCB spokesman Samiul Hasan told BBC Sport Online that the board will wait for a complete manager’s report before deciding on further action.
“We have been told by the team management that Shoaib has been reprimanded on charges of ball tampering,” Hasan said.
“We have reason to believe that the offence was of minor magnitude because history suggests that players involved in ball-tampering have been severely punished.”
Shoaib has been twice in the past been reported for an illegal bowling action, although he was cleared on both occasions by the ICC.
He is the third Pakistan bowler in two years to be found guilty of altering the condition of the ball.
Current captain Waqar Younis was given a one-match suspension after he was seen on television lifting the seam during a one-day match against South Africa in Sri Lanka.
And all-rounder Azhar Mahmood was also fined 50% of his match fee for a similar offence.
But Hasan denied that the episode would further damage the team’s image.
“We don’t think the image of Pakistan’s bowlers will be tarnished on this,” he said.
**“If someone breaks a rule he is punished and Shoaib has been reprimanded only.” **
Pakistan team manager Brigadier KM Nasir told Reuters he was satisfied with Lloyd’s handling of the affair and now regarded the matter as closed.
Umpires Srinivas Venkataraghavan and Dave Orchard had two discussions with Waqar and Shoaib before and after lunch on Tuesday over the condition of the ball.
Shoaib left the field immediately after the second discussion, which followed his 14th over. He returned to bowl the penultimate over before tea.
“The board would be interested to know whether the ball that is alleged to have been tampered with was replaced,” Hasan added.
**“[And] whether it was scratched or lost its shape due to hitting the iron fence on several occasions.” **
This is in Today’s Jang news paper. No major ball tempering case against Shoaib.

Shoaib discliplined for ball-tampering
HARARE: Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been disciplined for tampering with the ball during the second Zimbabwe innings of the first Test in Harare.
The Test ended Tuesday with Pakistan winning by 119 runs. Match referee Clive Lloyd said the bowler – regarded as the fastest in cricket – had been found guilty of breaking the International Cricket Conference code of conduct ‘level two’ in changing the general condition of the ball.
“This is not considered a major ball-tampering incident. Just before and just after the lunch interval on Tuesday umpire David Orchard was seen examining the ball, which was scuffed on one side but shiny on the other. However, there appeared to be no damage to the seam,” Lloyd said.
He said the two umpires, Orchard and Srinivas Venkat, Shoaib Akhtar, Pakistan manager Brig. Khawaja Nasir and captain Waqar Younis attended a disciplinary hearing after the close of play.
It was later announced that Akhtar was severely reprimanded but no further action will be taken. This means he will be able to play in the second Test, which begins on Saturday, and in the five One-day Internationals that follow. He will also not lose any of his match fee. Manager Brig. Nasir was not available for comment.
Shoaib has been recorded delivering the ball at 156 kilometers per hour (98 mph). It was noted that after about 30 overs of the Zimbabwe innings he was getting considerable ‘reverse swing’ on the ball, but this is often the case with a wearing ball.
**Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar will not face any action from the Pakistan Cricket Board after being found guilty of ball tampering. **
He was given a severe reprimand by match referee Clive Lloyd earlier this month after the umpires reported him during the first Test against Zimbabwe in Harare.
“The umpires and I inspected the ball and it was clear to us that it had been scratched,” Lloyd said.
Team manager Brigadier Khawaja Nasir subsequently sent a report about the matter to the Board.
But officials have decided that no further punishment in necessary.
“Since the match referee Clive LIoyd just reprimanded Akhtar we find the issue not big enough. We think the matter is closed now,” said PCB general manager Zakir Khan.
Law 42.3b states that it is **“unfair for anyone to rub the ball on the ground for any reason, or interfere with any of the seams or the surface of the ball.” **
It is also illegal to **“use any implement, or take any other action whatsoever which is likely to alter the condition of the ball.” **
Pakistan captain Waqar Younis is the only player ever to have received a ban for ball-tampering.
He was given a one-match suspension two years ago after he was seen lifting the seam during a one-day international against South Africa in Sri Lanka.
**Shoaib, meanwhile, will not play in the five one-day internationals in Zimbabwe because of a knee problem. ** ![]()
Team management do not want to aggravate the problem ahead of the tour to South Africa which follows, but the PCB are sending a doctor to Zimbabwe to check on his condition.

wht do u actually mean by tht? somethin is funny?
I was watching the whole test and the camera clearly caught shaoib akhtar ball tampering and there was silence in the comentay box all of a sudden like "what the hell is he doing" even it took me by surprise. I couldnt even believe my eyes , Ramiz yet again tried to downplay I think by saying "shaoib akhtar removing the dirt from the ball"
On the side note Shoaib akhtar is stupid if he was planning to tamper the ball why not ask the fielder to do it for him usually the cameramen focus on the fast bowlers not fielder ;)
agar cheating karna hey to smartly kar! openly ball ko scratch kar raha tha! ahha
