India, in my opinion, is not a naive nation. It knows very well the nature of Americans, just as well as British. India and Pakistan both learned tough lessons from the British Raj era. So how the USA/Brits use and have used the subcontinent is no news to anyone.
I'm pretty sure India will not let USA take it for a spin or a ride.
