Sorry Cooldude, anchal is right:).

Just their sad way of getting back at us cuz they were shipped over for stealing.

Personally I dont like alot of things either that are american, especially the womanising presidents they seem to elect all the time.:)

REAL Americans are realistic and fairly easy going people… its just a pity that some NEW arrivals become patriotic zealots to the point of being ridiculous.

My long time American buddy writing from Ohio writes to me saying in reply to my question about who the next US President will be:-

" Jeez, for all I know it could be you.
If those 2 idiots ever get it
straightened out in Florida, I think they should both be forcibly dragged into
every major American city and be publicly flogged for making this country look
this stupid. Neither one of them deserve to be the president. Grrr…"

So some REAL Americans are not so stupid or “patriotic” to the point of pity

P.S. POHMS is ‘Prisoner on her Majesty’s Service’ - refers to all those Brits (today’s Aussies) who were sent to the prison/penal colonies of Australia.

Ok Ok you're right :)

Anyway, for what it's worth I don't like the British or what they stand for.

I was born in this country - doesn't mean I have to like it, right?

What about you Americans?

Acctually no they still are referred to as Pommies
you would never hear them being called aussies :)

Oh dear, resorting to crass statements, NYAhmadi. Where is your sporty side???<<<

Mariah. Was that not “sporty” enough for you? You want me to get sportier? You Brits have no sense of sportability. Freaking bunch of Monty Pythoons.

Malik, at least I appreciate where I live, unlike you who is fascinated with a place you have never been to, and never will. Pay as much attention to where you live, and you might start liking it. Who knows, you might get a job as the first Pakistani Buckingham Palace Queen’s Guard. Tata for now.

Tell my NYAhmedi, how long has your family been in the US?

Did they come over as immigrants (as most of America is) or where they brought over on a slave ship?

How can you have love for a nation that builds itself on the destruction of others?

The Europeans colonised America and tried to colonise most of the world.

Europe, America - They are all the same.

I have no respect for them at all.

malik yaar... I don't expect many responses. mainly cause we like to wallow in other's tiny little issue and choose to overlook our own problems, which infact are manifold bigger than what americans are facing right now.

IMO, those who're laffing are quiet jealous of how smoothly and non-violently things are progressing, something which can;t even be fathomed in third world countries even without a girdlock -and yes.. that includes Pakistan as well. But I guess we need something about US to poke fun at so we can somehow feel better about our own shortcomings.

I couldn't help noticing the amount of obese people in the States. Judging by the size of your portions in restaurants, i'm not surprised how big the average American is.

Please Ghalib you can worship America for all you want but look at the first 53 years of American history - hell look at the first 100 years of American history.

You'll see that the likes of Pakistan and other third world countries are faring much better than your utopia called America was in the first 50 to 100 years of its history. I suggest you do some travelling dude - go into the interior i.e away from the east coast.

Go to south central LA? go to the 3rd world Indian reservations, go to the ethnic parts of Seattle and you will see the REAL America - if thats something to be jealous of then ...?

Neither America (where I have spent more time than some super patriots we know?) nor Britannia always Pakistan!

Well Said! We’d probably get Pakistani’s and Indians coming up to us, slipping us 100 Rupees and asking us if we can get them in to have Chai with the Queen!

You're doing a smashing job Mariah... wait till the new cut Extremist gets back. All hell will break loose then!

[This message has been edited by Malik73 (edited November 16, 2000).]

I have no respect for them at all.

There you go!! Cooldude, you rock yaar!!

I know you're in your beloved country right now and not in the materialistic, monopolistic and imperialistic West that you dread so dearly.

Please Ghalib you can worship America for all you want but look at the first 53 years of American history - hell look at the first 100 years of American history.

Challo yaar.. malik.. lets compare the initial phases of both countries. Hmmmm.. lets see... America stayed democratic, grew geographically, went through a civil war and came out intact. Pakistan went into governor's rule, then dictatorship then into civil war and came out about half the size of what it initially was.

This is gonna turn into another too too mein mein. I know it!

Ghalib: I'm actually in the UK yaar. I respect Pakistan because it is the land of my forefathers. I don't respect the British for what they have done to this world.

Why should I respect them?

Oooh American History lesson Cool!

Ghalib said -

" America stayed democratic, grew geographically, went through a civil war and came out intact."

DEMOCRATIC - ahem... you mean for Male Protestant Whites only. Blacks were still slaves till 1863 and only got the vote in 1865 as for the Indians they were still being massacred till the 1890's - SO THAT COVERS THE FIRST 100 YEARS OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY! - I haven't even mentioned the "reconstruction" era yet - which wasn't complete till 1968!

GREW GEOGRAPHICALLY - you mean invaded foreign countries like Mexico and ILLEGALLY annexed vast territories from the Mississipi to the Pacific - what a record!

WENT THROUGH A CIVIL WAR AND STILL CAME OUT INTACT ... ahem... well considering the fact that the two wings of their country were not divided by an enemy power they couldn't but win - especially considering the GENOCIDAL war crimes the Union forces committed - today we would compare that to Hitler and Stalin.

I suggest instead of reading WHITE AMERICAN text books you read some AFRICAN AMERCAN or NATIVE AMERICAN textbooks - then will give get a less ROSY picture of US History!

Ghalib Yaar. ChooR yaar. Malik’s fascination with the USA is explained by Darlene Chevers in a very well respected work “Denier’s Dilemma”. There is no way in the world that he will come out of his denial. It is quite symptomatic and it is enchased in his head beyond apperception. The funny thing is that he fools himself more than he think that he is trying to fool others.

So, don’t hold your breath. The beauty of the situation is that prelacy does not lie in uplifting the oppressed, but also the oppressors. Sorry Malik, if it flew over your Pakistani head.

Mariah, thanks for the correction. I had always thought that Brits have an additional hole.
