I think that when you get caught up in the competition…you COULD end up making a fool of yourself. How? Well, competition can give off a “trying too hard” vibe…that can be off-putting…and you’re less likely to be relaxed…so this can prevent your real/true personality from showing through.
So…don’t compete. Don’t even think of it as competition. Easier said than done…but be confident in being who you are. The “other candidate” might be better looking…and very wealthy…and highly educated with a high-paying job…but YOU might be the one selected. The rishta prospect might end up finding YOU more compatible (amidst your imperfections) compared to the candidate whom you feel that you can’t hold a candle next to.
If it’s in your kismat to be with someone…you’ll end up with them. It it isn’t in your kismat…then you won’t. If the “answer/outcome” has already been predetermined…then don’t think of it as competition. Just go with the flow and pray for the best.
