Anyway, here is something more to the point. This news story talks about close cooperation between Iran and North Korea in testing the missiles. Source is a South Korean newspaper and the comments are from a US official.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A U.S. official said Friday that North Korea is developing a new ballistic missiles that could be armed with nuclear warheads, and Iran is conducting the technical experiments for North Korea.
The offical, requesting anonymity, said that after North Korea announced a freeze on missile testing, the nation has been sharing technology with Iran and testing it through proxy. He added that while North Korea is not conducting missile experiments on its own, it’s nonsense for it to claim that it has frozen missile tests.

The official also said North Korea’s missile development plan is based on Russian technology and there was a possibility that the North was still getting support from Russian scientists.

The U.S. has yet to get a detailed grasp of the North’s missile development plans, however, and is placing much importance on finding out whether the missile are exactly patterned on Russian models and whether they could reach the United States.

On the other hand, the official insisted that there is no doubt North Korea is improving existing missile designs or making new missiles onto which it could place nuclear warheads.

He said North Korea may have secured technology for submarine-launched ballistic missiles, but it seems the nation does not yet possess the necessary missile platforms.

The man added that despite North Korea’s lack of a missile platform, it may get one from another country, and it is pouring a huge amount of money into developing missiles, especially ballistic missiles.

Not good news for Pakistan. Iran is actively colluding with Bharat on many strategic issues. I am concerned about Bharti-Irani planning to build road to Kandhar. This will effectively bypass Pakistan from CIS trade. The second issue is Iran providing access to Bharat for interfering in Balochistan. We have already seen violent incidents there.

The offical, requesting anonymity Hmmm all these witnesses want anonymity, hiding behind smokescreens not wanting to have there evidence out in open. Also the link is from a South Korean newspaper i think the credibility is kind of weak.

I don't see any problem with Iran or korea creating weapons like these. US is not exaactly rolling back its nuclear program in fact its developing many new types of nuclear weapons including mini nukes which it wants to use on the battlefield double standards being applied here yet again USa complaing about weapons of mass destruction but making many of there own!

Everyone has their own history bud. You ought to see the reality on the ground. South Korea is at the top of the world while Lil kim is begging for food and oil.

We are not talking about S. Korea, France, Democratice Republic of Congo, poverty or wealth BUT NK and its swinging chappal that did wonders for 500,000 chakkas in the 50s and is ready to do the same only this time with plutonium rod... Any thoughs on that? I can list quite a few countries that beat NK hands down in poverty, hunger, isolation., HR record, disease.. you name it..

Now the way people scamper about here, you would think that it was the first time that someone has aimed a missle at the US. Seems to me that during the 60’s, when I was a child, I spent a lot of time diving under desks and covering my hear waiting for the dreaded Russin bombardment. Now they had THOUSANDS of missles, intercontinental bombers, and submarines. Seems like we dealt with that threat. What makes you think that Li’ Kim and a handful of untested missles, and a handful or possible nukes would send us shuddering into our shelters. Tacical Nukes based in South Korea would obliterate most of the North before a missle even landed on US soil.

Now just as a matter of principal, is it good to reward countries who dedicate 40% of their GDP to the military? If this excites Abdali, well thats just peachy.

But if Muslims think that having a Nuke or two somehow contributes to world prestige, or to economic prosperity, or to defense, they may want to think again. Like it or not, nukes should only be handled by grown ups. Some countries simply do not qualify. Rant all you want about “who used nukes”, but the US arsenal has been safely in check for 60 years. Russia still doesn’t know how many it is missing. Qaddafi has decided to grow up, and the same sort of world ostracism of Iran and North Korea are likely to produce Libya-like results in the future. The whole point is that a proliferation of ultra-dangerous weapons invokes the chaos theory. The more of these weapons that are available, the more likely things are to get out of control.

The US military running scared in South Korea everytime North Korea flexes, they move entire battalions away from the north korean border down below Seoul in case missles hit there heads!

Pakistan trusts North Korea lot more than India.

South Korea has clearly showed how Korean peninsula can reach the top of the world. OTOH NK wants to live in dung heap. It's their choice. It is just fun to see how sand-creatures getting excited by a dung heap.
