Re: Non-functional Chief Justice v Supreme Judicial Council

Honestly I question the creds of Bhagwandas now. Does it take a genious to figure that if you don't do Mush's bidding, in Pakistan you cannot sit on the Supreme Court? Pakistani Supreme Court has become army ki....

It’s cause I want people to appreciate ALL the achievments of CJ Ch Iftikhar, not just some. So I will repeat again some of historic achievments in defence of the “constittution and the legal order.”

  • Ignoring the constitution and swearing an oath on Musharraf’s PCO, and therby getting promoted to the Supreme Court.
  • Validating the military coup and suspension of the constitution under the “Doctrine of Necessity”.
  • Allowing the Chief of Army Staff to singlehandedly amend the Constitution of Pakistan, without recourse to any authority.

Re: Non-functional Chief Justice v Supreme Judicial Council

Yesterday the non-functional CJ in a clearly political statement said those who ignored the rule of law and the constitution faced doom. This coming from the man who did the following:-

  • Ignored the constitution and swore an oath on Musharraf's PCO, and therby got promoted to the Supreme Court.
  • Validated the military coup and suspension of the constitution under the "Doctrine of Necessity".
  • Allowed Chief of Army Staff Musharraf to singlehandedly amend the Constitution of Pakistan, without recourse to any authority.

Yes, he is being a hypocrite, but then he is like all other Pakistani political leaders. So I think Ch.Iftikhar will follow BB's example and make a deal with Musharraf as well. It's all politics anyway now. :)

Re: Non-functional Chief Justice v Supreme Judicial Council

and I believe in your opinion this reason (that silly billy supported him) is enough to bail out CJ?
