Suhaib, Krachi needs mass transit, Karachi needs to overhaul its aging power supply system, Karachi needs to overhaul its water distribution system, Karachi needs to improve its drainage system, Karachi needs to improve its garbage disposal..

Pretty little projects like this are nice, but the stuff that really makes the city are being neglected.

as i highlighted sofitel hotel and creasant bay of $6 billion started last year.

PP, what are you on about, like i highlighted i was bring to attention to some blind people that foreign investment has come in, in the last year as well as last few years.

i just gave you an example, ofcourse theres many other projects coming up, mass transit is on the cards, power supply is being worked on, drainage system has gone 100 times better and many other.

as for ns made lahore a great city, stop making a laughting joke out of yourself again, i am from lahore and know it more then anyone else, the city was a neglected place, it was like a big village in 1999, it only turned to a city now, so please look at the facts and stop hiding from them

ns making a massive palace for himself on a park is not making lahore a great city, please learn what great means

Foreign investment of this kind is only window dressing... What Karachi needs is what I highlighted..
Why not focus on What I pointed out..

What is the use of a nice building if everytime there is a little rain, everything floods out and the whole city is plunged into darkness?

Whats the use of nice buildings if the city is covered in rubbish that isnt being picked up?

Whats the use of nice buildings if you cant get from point A to point B because there is no quality mass transit network... What city can have a population as large as Karachis and not have a mass trnasit system?!?!?!

Infact, the city in this regard has gone back in time..Cities progress, Karachi has regressed...
Where there was once a relatively good transit system, even that no longer exists..

So why do you insist on everyone touting the accoplishments of this administration when even the simplest problems of Karachi arent resolved?

All these projects have been on the cards for YEARS without a SINGLE change... I dont know how old you are, but most people who are old enough to have followed Karachi, know how hollow the govt claims are in this regard.

What I think we are all refering to is investment in those areas that produce sustainable employment, and offer resolutions to the many pressing problems of the city.

Im all for nice buildings, and these buildings also offer some employment, but its only window dressing...
Flyovers are a start but the real solutions havent seen any real investment.

When PPP jialyas will burn down the foreign owned factories, who will invest here. Maxco Garments - an Italian Company burnt with 6 people inside and hundreds of female workers sexually harrassed in recent events here.

do you even have a clue how much money has been poured into the infranstruchure works in karachi, just go on ssc, there have been 100s and 100s of new roads with proper sewage systems, thanks to mqm and mustafa kamal, there have been many underpasses and flyovers made, again thanks to mustfa kamal,

JUST GO AND WATCH THE PROGRAME LIVING ON THE EDGE OR WAS IT EXPOSED WHAT COMES ON THE MUSIK, THAT HOST WENT TO THE NEWLY DEVELOPED UNDERPASSES DURING MONSOON JUST TO EXPOSE THE GOV BY HOW CRAP THERE WORKS ARE AND HOW THERE WILL BE A BIG FLOOD IN THE UNDERPASS, THAT DUDE WAS LIKE YOU, WHO WAS COMPLETLY SUPRISED NOT TO SEE A FLOOD THERE AS THE UNDERPASS HAD A SEWAGE SYSTEM.

please open your eyes, this is not the karachi which you saw in ns or bb era, this karachi has changed with major developemts

as for mas transit system, its a massive project, it cant be just done in one day and requires alot of work, again i will point you to 30/30 programe on dawn tv which gave a whole prgame on it.

now back to the topic for FDI.

as for the first clifton one, its like 5 years old and was the first one made by mustfa kamal, please stay updated with ssc, after the floods in 2002/03 a drainage system was relaid and no there hasnt been a flood there dude,
