Re: No foreign investment in Karachi last few years
I dont know what development mean to you guys. If opening of Underpasses, hotels and mobile luxuries was development, then dear I hope you get more of them.
The development index is based on few MORE important factors e.g. Clean Water, 24/7/365 uninterrupted electrical power, food, health care etc etc.
How many medical care facilities are being constructed inthe past few years. Our ppl die in ambulances in their way to hospital cause there is no necessary trauma facilities available.
I am not anti-Pak of anykind, but I want to keep the record straight that building, hotels and underpasses does not mean development.
you are poiting out ills which have been present from past regimes.
maybe people die in ambulances but 8 years ago we didnt even have them, you can see we are going in the right direction as healthcare has improved by over 100 times as well as education.
now this thread was about FDI and most fdi is usally these type of developments, thats why its been pointed out, but that doesnt mean other things are not happening, they are.
and building of basic infranstruchure like underpasses, flyovers and roads in very important actully, its one of the major things which need to be made, how are you suppose to get from point A to point B with a road, and with such increasing traffic, underpasses and flyovers cut the congestion, whats the point of haveing an ambulance if its gona take 2 hours to go 1 mile? you might is well not have one.
