This can't be true. Just the other day, I was reading an article published in Dawn about the emergence of 100 or so Polio cases in KP and FATA.

It's okay, Waleedee, just ask the mods to replace WHO with NHI. But nonetheless, it is a absolutely significant for for a city which was named largest reservoir for polio only few months ago. Of course a lot still needs to be done, but there is hope, and right measures are bearing the right fruit.

Ignore them. It’s not just Peshawar, many other cities have shown similar improvement. It is an encouraging sign. People who actually care about Pakistan will appreciate the news regardless. Not everyone is blinded by personal/political hatred.

LOL, there is NO WHO official that has declared Peshawar polio free. Un named person source is claiming WHO collected sample, not word from WHO itself. If there is, show me.

I dont want to take part in the political war of this thread, but the same NIH confirmed two new polio cases on Sept 21 2014, one in Peshawar, and one in Khyber Agency.
