Good god she looks like a hoe! I dont think many hindus that I know would wear that to their OWN wedding (to a club or party or the bridal outfit as a guest to a wedding but hell no not that greenoutfit to a shaadi).. Yeah being different is nice and good, but different doesnt equal trashy and slutty .. 
The reason many go so traditional is coz we’re gnna be looking back on those wedding pix for years, and you dont wanna look too trendy/tacky.. she looks like shes gnna get divorced in a year

i guess we all have different definitions of what hoes and sluts look like. i dont think we should assume their marriage will not last, you never know they might grow old and wrinkly together. clothing doesnt have anything to do with how long a marriage will last =/

american's think that a woman in hijab is oppressed but we know thats not the case, so they can not be correct. looks like your doing some profiling of your own, assuming that her body parts are showing and she isnt in a typical bridal outfit doesnt really entitle anything about her except that maybe she is not interested in the bridal costume we are all taught to wear. maybe when we stop judging people, people can stop judging us with our appearance.

i do not agree with u, even in america too much showing of ur boby is not accepted, school, professional offices etc have their dress codes some of those don't even allow tang tops.
i can't stop ppl from doing thing, but i will say something is wrong, when SOMETHING IS WRONG.

When we go out into public, obviously what we wear will be judged. People dress according to the occasion. If I wore my wedding dress out to a club on a saturday night, people would laugh me out of the club. There is a time and place for everything. In addition, certain ceremonies, especially a wedding, are often viewed as the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to truly look one's best, to dress like a princess and create a lasting memory. The girl's outfits (both of them) looked like ordinary party outfits, and that is the general consensus because it is the obvious fact. Look at her outfit for her engagement. Would any girl in her right mind wear something like that? Would any girl's mother allow her to step out looking like that? Doesn't matter what religion. Forget the opinions of the immediate family. If I ever wore something like that, everyone at the party would bad-mouth me for years to come, saying "oh look at her, she thinks she's mod, but she looks like white-trash wannabe." We dress to please ourselves, but we DO consider what others will say. Ever watch the Academy awards? The actresses dress like real stars, in elegant, beautiful outfits. Appropriateness matters. If you don't like the opinion, that's fine. But it's also very judgemental to put out a picture, ask for opinions, then criticize everyone else for not agreeing. Let's drop this one already.

i agree with u, not only agree but i would also say what u said was in my mind also but couldn't said it like that.
one more thing, i have indian friend who are hindu from different casts and very respected families adn even they don't think it's allowed in their religion to wear cloths that are that much showing their body.

i just cant understand how her wedding dress has anything to do with her getting an early divorce??? i dont understand why her dress must be of some standard, every one has the right to pick what they want to wear to their event, they are paying for it! even normal people wear traditional wedding attire and end up getting a divorce =/ that is just outrageous assumption. malaika arora dress's this way even after her first kid and she is still married =/ the fact that someone can presume that a certain outfit can cause future dismay to her husband doesnt sound right. her dress is not the traditional red and if it was red i doubt anyone would say much because most bridal sari's show the same amount of skin, atleast her boobs are not hanging out and she has managed to cover them up. i feel that desi's tend to be so judgemental when someone cannot present themselves in their traditional form.
p.s. in this day and age you can get married more then once, especially with the rate in which the world is changing.
i dont want to argue either but i feel that stating an early divorce based on her outfit is just as stupid as saying she will be married longer if she wore something traditionally correct =/

i think now i can understand ur point about the whole divorce thingy, but i would still say her dress doesn't look like a wedding dress and she look like a **** in that dress

Eh the divorce thing was just a stupid joke.. chill out..
Ppl like that may be rich, but they have no class or taste, simple.. it has nothing to do wiht red or whatever, but still theres a certain degree of appropriateness that Syani covered.. that stuff she wore, i dont think any grl wud be stupid enuff to that as a guest.. then again bollywood isnt xactly known for its ghairat and taste

Don't like either of them! She looks so bad and common, nothing special, elegant or bridal about the clothes at all...shame really, bcos she's pretty and they look really cute together.
