Yeah that seems about right.. walking is the best way... ive personally never been on brooklyn bridge but lotsa ppl do that..subway is gud if ur giong to a specific place, but to sightsee, walking is best.. or take one of thsoe tourist bus rides hehe
You know something bro...I wudnt mind at all....kasam seh...i was really lookin forward to goin back these holidays...but my mum said look its too hot, and u'll make urself ill before starting work....so just go somewhere else where u want...but not pak!...
yeah man- InshAllah i'm there next week...never ever been to the states...and now really lookin foward to it!...gonna be soooo cooool....plus we got a top top deal...700quid pp inc. BA Flights and 5nights at the Waldorf Astoria! i'l let u kno what to do and what not to, based on how it goes for me...peace out
i think K-mart carries some timberland shoes for men. Not sure since i remember seeing those a WHILE ago. there is a K-mart around Penn Station...33rd street and 7th avenue.what sara said is cool. but also take a walk downtown....from union square and 14th street (check out DSW shoes and Diesel etc) and keep on walking downtown....all the way to prince street and do explore all the tiny stores and other designer stores that pop up left and right. you will find a large variety and reasonable prices and interesting stores. even if u dont buy anything u'll have fun.
halaal food: u'll find halaal platters everywhere but as sara said the 53rd and 6th avenue platter is the one you want to have.
there are also a bunch of halaal desi places around 28th and park avenue/ lexington avenue.
LOL…so thats a definite maybe?? LOLz…might be an idea u know…but i will be with 3 mates…and since it was my idea of coming new york, and dragging them 3 with me…they’l think i arranged it all just 2 come meet Sara LMAO…but hey u never kno…
I think foot locker also has timberlands and you can find foot locker everywhere (one on union square if you are around there)
Sara is right -take the subway everywhere-its much easier than cab rides which can be quite slow in the city with all the traffic
Take the 6 train to the last stop if u want to walk on the brooklyn bridge and there are abt 6-7 trains that go to jackson heights or go to coney island which is all paki while jackonheights is mosly indian - take B or Q to Newkirk Avenue to get to Coney Island
Sara is also right with macy's u get everything there but most stuff can be on the expensive side (unless u look at only the clearance stuff heheheh)
Walk around manhattan u will find plenty of places to shop
And yeah there is a k-mart near union square i think around astor place- saw it on my way to class- get off on 8th street with R or W u will find kmart there along with many many other shops like foot locker / American eagle/ FCUK and lots more
Lol, but joking aside those knock-offs are pretty impressive. I saw one Rolex where it was virtually impossible to tell the difference. Even that knock off was $250!
PS: Sara you can charge them money, specially considering you only make $12 and change these days
cos uv given the best darn advice re: my trip 2 new york…and u seem cool…CatWoman was just a fad…im like soooooooo over her (said in a totally yankee accent)
