isnt it funny its a project i did for school as the school required it babes if u know what that means we had to copy our fav designer exactly and get a photoshoot and all the detailing done so yes its alot of hard work when it comes down to it. We have to cut the fabric stitch it so we knwo all teh details of it.
its the whole idea. that was part of a report a concept. fashion school nahin gayay na is liyay mehnat ka nahin pata
mere jaan off the market too koi bhee copy karva kay photograph karva kay sell kar sakta hai jo kar bhee rahay hein kuch log
I'm sorry par mehnat ka sirf fashion school ke students ko hi pata hai. This kind of presumption is so untrue my friend. Law aur Medical schools wale ziada mehnat kerte hain infact you need to work hard for every major :)
You see many fashion designers around who haven't acquired the appropriate degree for the profession. Kuch ke pass kisi qism ki bhi degree nahin hoti. Whereas, in other areas you need a degree. You wouldn't find a doctor or lawyer to be unqualified for the profession.
P.S. This wasn't meant to hurt or bash anyone. I was just expressing my opinion :)
Peace

Re: New Sana Safinaz outfits i copied
khawateen i dont know about ur school babes but we have to do this inorder to learn and understand the cuts the philosphies whats was the designers concept behind a whole collection ....... they teach everything from scratch for the students to understand.
in the test project no such thing is allowed but in weekly assignments like we are asked to study armani, dior their designs and concepts same way they are also doing to our local ones and blv me our local designers are amazing check out sana safinaz work, check out maheen karim, NN collection, sadaf malaterre maheen khan , shumail ohhh we ahve so much to learn from them.
u knwo in twomonths we gotta intern at one of teh designers to learn and see how the work , the marketing everything works.
what school did u go to and when? in karachi?
well i saw it, and it wasn't that special to begin with before she took the pic off...but it was not really a nice outfit to copy anyway.
aww thats alright everyone is entitled to their opinion
SK, i think you should request the mods to close this thread...i mean, what's the point of having this if you're not going to show any pics?

no i studied fashion in canada.
ya i understand studying everything and learning from scratch.. from design ideas to marketing the finished product....interning at the end of the prog with some established designer.. we had projects too thruout our prog where we would investigate techinques used by famous designers, even turning their clothes inside out or taking them apart at the seams.. but still.. we werent allowed to copy.. no no...
but i guess every school has its own methods of teaching.. whatever is effective :)
and yes.. it is hard work... exciting but physically exhausting.
