Yeah the waterpark is pretty cool. But you know what, that's the job of the waterpark to make sure that things stay clean and nice. If they just put fines on people for littering or breaking things, etc, then I bet Pakistanis would be more careful.
But you are right. Its a friggin jaahil public.

I live a couple of miles from the beach here.I know nothiing about this park..looks like the park next to macdonalds where I go to lunch sometimes.I'll keep my eyes open next time I am in that area which will be tomorrow afternoon.

looks like a nice park.. sure could use more of those in Pakistan. Plus it will be another cool spot to go hang out a night time in Karachi. I hope they charge admission > 20 Rupees so that people dont trash it and couples, families can come and enjoy it too;plus get away from the hustle and bustle of fast paced Karachi life, for some reason, when things are free in Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawer, people start abusing it, its a little different in Lahore and even Islamabad to some extent cuz I think they;ve developed a civic sense and strive to keep things beautiful(a relatively new phenomenon in Pakistan!!!) I've heard its gradually starting in Karachi, but the pace needs to sped up!!

many of the parks in Lahore(gulberg, defense etc., overall in general) and Islamabad(there only are a few) have remained in pretty good shape on my last trip to these cities(I myself was quite pleasantly surprised since I was also expecting them to all deteriorate) So I know the phenomenon has started in Pakistan. I think it will eventually kick in Karachi too cuz of the higher education factor, plus once people see the value in keeping things nice and clean(and the fact that u have to pay for it and pay maintanance staff enough to keep it that way) they will start following suite too. Oh. and on my last trip to Peshawer the Sher Khan stadium was still in decent shape so I know something is starting in Pakistan finally!!:) lets keep the ball rolling and think positively:D
