Well it depends on your definition of results, is it purely monetery gain or the creation of a more cohesive country?

Control the outburst of emotion yaar, and be a bit reasonable. NO OFFICER of PAKISTAN ARMY, NAVY or PAF is a mere . If you would bear to understand, for years, even the jawans i.e NCOs that the military hires have to be Matric pass. Officers join after Intermediate, Graduation, Post Graduation Masters Degrees, and the military keeps educating them in various fields. That's what NDU, CSC, AWC, NUST, AMC, NWC, PMA, PNA, PAFA and various other institutions do. In addition numerous officers are sent to other pvt/public and foreign univ to purse degrees and doctorates in innumerable disciplines all year round. Even the *jaahil *Musharraf has two world class masters degrees in addition to a world recognized graduation degree from PMA. And pls dont tell me CJ can be holier than a General or a court more imp than an infantry battalion guarding Pakistan or a black coat more prestigious than a khaki uniform... Plus the chowkidars didnt take control of the house. The house belongs to them too! And they camin only when those inside started screaming "bachao bachao"!
if this is the case ..even then they are Servants of Pakistani elected civil government...they are servants and should behave as SERVANTS....
they dont generate funds ..i60 million speople sucking of blood make thier GDP 70% ..this is our money..not thiers....
thier job is to be caged in barracks..thats all...the army chief is even below in rank than the defence minster....9th no.. i think..CJ is of 3rd level...most powerful man...
if 10 Generals can unite..they cannot reach the foot level of SC or CJ..
thier pre partition mentality that We are Superior..we will inshallh ....tewach them thier** "auqat**" that they are servants of civilians....and should act like servants....
who the hell they are to decide about the fate of 160 million peopels....

Yaar, this reminds me of a letter someone wrote in a leading paper a while ago that the biggest oxymoron in Pakistan will have to be Civil Servant
Lets not forget who else is also a servant, thriving on peoples tax money, emploeed for their benefit by the govt, or elected for preserving their rights etc
Dont courts, judges, MNAs, ministers, bureaucrats, govt dept officials, police and thanedars all fall under the servant category...? Their performance during the past 60 yrs doesnt really show how they were in fact servants and not masters over the miserable ppl. Im sure u know the fear of the local Dist Commissioner or Tehsildar or thanedar or MPA or magistrate. ppl dont suffer that musch at the hands of servant...
Plus the miserable memories of past 60 yrs cant be wiped out overnight out of a rosy picture marketed by deceiving self-interest seeking politicians and their cronies for the past 3 months to gain thrust...

Man...what are judges, the are also servants of the ppl in a way, they are also felsh blood and red blooded not blue blooded...and what exemplary things have any judges really done for the common man or Pakistan so far. From 1947 to 2007. Dont tell me the tales from March 2007 though...
I hope you could hate the real enemies of Pakistan who have really, intentionally damaged Pakistan more, with as much passion...

But the black coat was a Grey Sherwani when Pakistan was made...besides, that does not say how black-coats should be any holier than Khakis or even the peoples elected black-waistcoats. Besides those who dies trying to save Lahore in 1965 were also Khakis.

Just trying to make sure how to draw a comparison between what CJ did for his son who had flunked CSS by getting him inducted into Police and then FIA by using influence and bending/disregarding rules and how COAS Gen Musharraf appointed a new DG ISI who happens to be a distantly related regular commissioned officer of the Pakistan Army who has done all relevant courses, has had a professional and competent 30 year Army career (without Musharraf holding his finger for being his distant relative), became a Brigadier and then served as Maj Gen fairly competently at MI and PMA...
When you make your relatives heads of the major national institutions these kind of questions do come up. Remember BB made her husband senator and then investment minister, and the impact he had on the country.
In Pakistan nepotism is pretty common, and nothing happen b/c of merit. This guy might be a fine officer, but mere fact that he is Mushrraf's relative running a thuggish organization that is making our own citizens disappear shows Mushrraf is no better than others.

Civil servants and politicians all are civil servants ...but politicians are elected...not Chowkidars ..they are not our representatives....
Only BB like slaves lick US feet ..not others....like handing over the national hero like Dr Khan...

Whether the new ISI chief is relative of Musharraf or not, the question is: does he have guts to shun Taliban sympathisers? does he have the guts to cleanse ISI of anti-Pakistan elements?
