well my parents are not living in cocoon, my mom is kinda cuz her communication skills are not that good but my dad had very good relationship with the neighbours, and its so that good that we exchange every now and then.
my parents have planted some vegies in the backyard and some of our italian neighbours used to be farmers back home and always come in to help us and advice us, and they are huge fans of samosas and my mom often sends em that.
our next door neighbour is a very old dude, last year i was removing snow infront of our house and i showelled his driveway and walk way aswell, he got so happy that after few hours he brought a huge bottle of champagne for me :S and then i had to explain him that "sir i cant take it, its against my belief plus i have lever problem so i wnt be able to consume it" he looked very sad. he came back after half an hour with a carton of root bear and cream puffs that her wife made lol, it was very nice of him.
my dad does bbq every now and then, and those neighbours r so friendly now that they come in the back yard and start eating their selves without even asking and we also have discussions on islam and they admit that b4 they used to think that Muhammad (saw) was a terrorist and pedophile (astaghfirullah) and all muslims were *********** but now they have changed their mind Alhumdulilah.
