Neighborly neighbor.

This is a good question. Ive always been curious how other people handle social lives with non-Muslims.

We’re very neighborly, we say hello every now and then, chit chat, try to be nice, etc.

My parents are SUPER selective about who comes into the house. My mom has non-Muslim friends but only a few of them have ever made it into the house. We were never allowed to set foot in anyone else’s home if they werent Muslim/desi.

Personally Ive got friends from different walks of life. Ive got non-Muslim friends and I see them every so often because they’re good people. I dont befriend anyone and everyone - regardless of religion. They respect my beliefs, have great personalities, care about me and thats all I can ask for. Ive also got Muslim friends that are way closer to me.

I dont see a problem with mingling as long as you dont forget who you are.
