well I havent been to any wedding/valima function lately so I can not exactly tell you whats IN these days, but just an advice dont go for sharp colours, they are completely out of fashion specially for the valima function..prefer light colours, like the one you posted, it was kinda cool and dont go for sharara/lehnga for the valima day, shlawar kameez is a good choice or pajama maybe?..hmmm and yeah colours ke liye I think light gold will be cool or offwhite with gold (though this offwhite and gold combo is kinda pitta hoa, but well not a bad combination)…I’ll ask one of my cousins, she too is going to get married this year hopefully, then I’ll let u know ok?
