Ironically the mother is fit so are her 3 other kids. She controls her diet but not her daughter's. She said that the littles 1 didn't crave for anything so she didn't force them. But this one was harder to control.
oh wow that's interesting! so she knows all about dieting and control....maybe she was overweight herself or knows kids who were overweight that just grew out of it as they got older? I think it's been seen enough that it is possible for overweight children to shed some weight as they get older.
It's really not easy for the mothers too......either they get criticized for their kid being fat or if they try to control the diet the're considered cruel and creating a base for body image/eating disorder issues.
That's true also, got to ask her whether she was chubby or not when she was a kid. She wasn't panicked until the ped said that her daughter is/almost is obese. She's scared by the fact her daughter would be a calorie counter, if you get what I mean. She doesn't want her to be complexed about her weight and she want to slowly cut on stuff she eats and increasing excercises.
Dus Ka dum, how would you describe the usual daily diet/food intake of your niece? We have similar situation in our family where 2 sisters are actually petite while the 3rd daughter is definitely over weight. The kid loves muffins and gulab jamuns and stuff, so we know where the problem is.
I can understand why your SIL may not want to be that kind of mother thats in the article… (ps, whom I think seems like an insecure and pathetic excuse for a mother)
The best thing to reduce the fat is to don’t call her fat kid as you have to convince your child with better and healthy food and told her that if she becomes fatter then it will create more problems. You should involve her in different sports and take her out of home and don’t give her junk food like burger, chips and cold drinks. It will definitely help the reduce the weight of little cute girl.
Also, please don’t call her fat. Lol the title though.
I was totured desi style all through life being called fat and it really creates a complex. If the kid is young she prob just needs to get out and play more and eat less sweets.
