MM if she is STILL a KID, meaning if she is STILL in her early 20's and STILL studying and STILL sort a depending on her parents, then my suggestion is that she should take it easy on her relationship. Being in a relationship doesnt have to end in marriage in a blink of an eye. Tell her to take her time and use her brain wisely this time and go with the flow. She is in a position where she has to satisfy both her love and her parents. Girl if I was her, i would have gone with my parents knowing how they reacted towards her first relationship.
MM its hard to decide once u r in relationship but u know a strong person is whoever make such decision wisely. So, two advices, if she is still young, tell her to concentrate on her studies BUT if she is done with her studying and stuff then she should confront her parents and try to talk it out.
