i 100% agree to this if there was any reason in scrapping this system it was greed for power and money.
although there were many flaws in LG system and specially in rural areas it almost failed and served another tool for corruption but still it had many advantages we had local access to the persons to solve issues of neighbourhoods.
and based on my understanding it worked really well in cities.
