family operated as a group i.e. there was no division of asset between brothers. corporate structure in place is designed to avoid taxes. also there is no way these entities would get any money without nawaz shareef using political clout.

calling their operations a scam would be misleading. what the shareef's and other connected people were doing in the 90's was plain and simple robbery. since banks were govt owned, no loan officer had the balls to decline a loan application approved by pm office. btw, saifur rehman, who was running ehtasab bureau for nawaz shareef defaulted on loans granted by ubl. when the loan officer, who was a shareef aadmi, tried to get saifur rehman to pay up, govt threw the loan officer in jail.

situation of banks got so dire by late 90's that govt had to inject around Rs20bn to keep them solvent. in contrast, market cap of banks listed on kse is around $25-30bn dollars these days. banking sector is perhaps the shining example to turn around under musharraf.

I don’t have the blue-print of the plan which was blocked by court so can’t say who is right or wrong but what you told me was that court stopped the project because it was gonna destroy mangroves.

I showed your double standard when you said you changed your mind about Imran Khan when he made a “U-turn” but you didn’t change your mind about Musharraf for so-many U-turns he has made… we call that double standard, may be you have different dictionary.

if its true then please like i said show me more sources, if it happened it would have been reported in atleast another reputed newspaper, such a big case can not be just reported in one paper if it was real

To prove the very same point you are raising i.e. no other newspaper is covering it. So all the allegations you have brought up against ex-CJ are not discussed in any news article (I've not seen any and you have not provided any links).

U-turn: 1. When he came to power he had announced accountability, he started it... now reversed the accountability by NRO.
2. After he came to power he said that he won't these 2 back, just few weeks ago he tried to negotiate power deal with Benazir so he will get elected if/when Benazir comes to power. Read the articles which tell that Musharraf is willing to work power-deal with Benazir if she stopped being confrontational etc.

well actully cj cases were reported, i remember reading about his sons cases sometime in feburary and him pressing charges on the media for covering it.

and you go along and belive every word the media says, every child by now knows the deal with bb was nothing but media generated, he is a presidant and must talk with leading partys of the country, speaking to them does not mean there is a deal, that is all media speculations.

Let me re-iterate, I am looking for the cases where CJ blocked construction projects to the tune of billions of dollars that you have mentioned many times now, a link to some newspaper/article, thank you.

Yes NRO was issued in dream, Benazir and Nawaz Sharif are not back in Pakistan despite their convictions.

He can always move the related posts to the exCJ allegations/resume threads if he has problems, I am sure any other mod will do that too.

This guy Nawaz is so stupid, so stupid. First he signed the agreement with ban for 10 years, because he says he was assured by a general that it will be changed to 5 years. As stupid as that was, Nawaz went ahead and told this story to the whole nation on national TV. How stupid was that, for a person hoping to become the next PM. On the scale of 1 to 10, the guy is sparkling at 13*, on my chart of all time morons.
