Quid pro quo for mullah baradar or perhaps some pakistani intelligence on a drone strike in north waziristan? It was like the same deal where some balochi sardar was this close to being extradited from Britain (on national security grounds where brits have much leeway) before everything fell apart in court right after a terrorist suspect escaped from police custody in Pakistan.
