your permanent place of living is the one you stay most of the time in a year and if you travel to more than 40 miles to your destination [end of your city limits to the start of the city limits of your destination] for less than 14 days [intended] then you do qasr…yes, you can do qasr at your dad’s place.
your intended period of stay is increased [for less than another 14 days] you m,ay continue to do qasr even if that means you stayed at your destination for more than 14 days]…this can prolong as long as your intention to stay at your destination is less than 14 days.
doing qasr is recommended.
