i agree with certain reservations forwarded by aphrodite, and am sad to hear the response of Mr. Khan. Some of the points raised in the essay were personal views which should not be shown to mean as the view takenby the religion. i specicially feel uneasy withthe point that as some girls choose to wear nail polish during their periods hence they are wrong. that is so insulting towards women.

First of all, this idea comes to my mind that you might be the other nick of that person called aprohtide because I put her on ignore on these boards. Same person with 2 nicks. or maybe not !!

For your information, this is what i 'QUOTED' and they are not my personal opinions or anythin. I just saw this in the other thread, thought of making a new one. So instead of saying that my opinions were wrong, you might want to ask the guppie to whom this article belongs.

It is true that some girlz wear nail polish during only the few days in the month because they cannot even pray in them. So it might be easy for them to put it without removing it for a few days. In my college girls used to do it. !

Once again they are not my personal opinions but whatever is in it, I've seen it going on in our society today.

Perhaps not, but most people do not promote views which they do not believe/agree with themselves.

Yeah true true. I said it later, I saw this happeneing myself.

But all the girls are not bad. There are always good people and bad people.

the guidance we receive from Allah and Muhammad are enough for us to follow. there is always a rational reason for everything.
one of them is that when you die and anyone dies you will feel pain if anyone touches you and avoiding nailvanish is a measure to eliminate the after death pain since you have to take nail varnish off before they give you ghusl (wash).
People are trying to do what pleases them and try to justify it by saying nothing is wrong with being fashionable or it looks nice-subhanallah!

Do guppies think that words like "subhanallah" should be used sarcastically?

I don't think so, because if one does so, it seems as if one is making a mockery of it.
