Actually agar seriously socho…to mocpk’s comment was not “well-said.” Yeh zaroori ya laazmi nahi hai that if someone does not like a celebrity, to us ki vajha jealousy ya insecurity hi hai. Every person has their own taste and preferences.
Let’s say that a certain actress did not appeal to YOU, would you like it if others rushed to the conclusion that the reason for your dislike can “only” be jealousy or insecurity? Sochne wali baat hai. Where is the logic or aqalmandi in such black and white reasoning? It sounds immature.
There could be many reasons to dislike a celebrity…jealousy and insecurity k ilawa. I was a never a fan of Nadia Khan. I could not sit through her shows for too long. I was not impressed with her hosting skills. The frequent baalon k jhatkay…flipping her back and forth so often…and interrupting the guest with unnecessary questions and comments. I really wanted to know the insight of one of her guests and he never got to share valuable information because of Nadia Ji’s inane interruptions.
I am not a fan of Pakistani morning shows or talk shows in general. I’ve seen Nadia, Nida Yassir, Sahir Lodhi, that Fahad guy…and I feel that after some time these hosts and the directors do not execute their shows with integrity. Making jokes in poor taste, instigating one celebrity guest against another, embarrassing guests on the show, etc etc…that reflects lack of integrity. I have been put off to the extent that I can’t bother watching any of them with regularity.
I do not like other actresses such as Kareena Kapoor. Is it because I’m jealous of her? I know that she’s better looking than me and I can admit that. I know that she dresses better than me and I can admit that. It’s her attitude and the things she says that put me off.
Nadia may have gone through a lot in her personal life. Life is full of trials. We all go through problems…not just Nadia Khan. Khairat hai…that if we say something unfavorable about an ordinary woman, the insecurity/jealousy accusation isn’t hurled. But if something against the shaan of an actress…then it can only be jealousy.
