you guys are sooo xtremelyyy critical of our programs and our stars..It's beyond pathetic! You yourselves hide behind t/ screen ( or saat pardaaz) but feel have the rite to criciticise every1 else. Ameerka / Europe may rah kar bhool gaye Pakistan kay problems. All you guys do is make fun of Pakistani stars be it Humayun Saeed, Faisal Qureshi or any1 else. BUt the ghatiyaa tareen Bollywood film is a hit for you guys with their nangu pangu so called gr8 figures and are very commonly watched with the rest of the families with dada/ dadi/ nana/ nanies. I personally think Nachlay is a very good effort for a PAKISTANI TV CHANNEL where even to this day dancing for a girl is still not considered very proper ( this page a gr8 xample) . So what's wrong if he Fahad is "screeming" which in my humble opinion he is not, he is simply full of energy reqired for such a show. HUmayun can dance as can t/ contestants specially Sana HUmayun & Mathira. I do have a problem w/ Noor and her hypocritic attitude one xample where she said about a sari clad girl that her steps were vulgar when Humayun ( and I ) thought they simply hot & sexy / romantic without being vulgar. BUt yeah she is too over rated God knows why, but HUmayun is t/ voice of sanity among t/ judges, with Fahad being energy drink! Overal not bad for a first time show.
p.s. most if not all entertainment shows are a rip off of some American / Eupean shows but I seriously doubt Indians go crazy criticizing their stars.

this show is just a copy of Indian show nach baliye , and other been done on different channels. First they went for pakistan idol and lg awaz banai star while copying indian idol and sa re ga ma pa and indians copy from american idol. Cheats - all the way.

I remember Indira Gandhi stating that there is no need of guns when we can fight them by language and culture, (Some scholar said, if urdu is gone, the nation is gone).. This is what happening. We use their words in our life, as Chinta na karo, hamara pareewar and i was all the way saying eww, when i saw a male student of some university trying to touch feet of her female student colleague and saying "Pairi Pauna".

alot of people are saying its "A GOOD EFFORT", but you can't really see any effort in the show. Aside from the video someone posted episode12-7, almost all the other performances were unwatchable. Especially the episode after where the guys danced. Maybe not Horrible but the steps weren't even choreographed, and yet they all got ABOVE 12 POINTS. The choreography seemed as if someone tried to copy some steps from tv but they couldn't do it well. at least the choreography should match the songs and the steps should match the beat!!
I don't want to criticize, BUT the creators could have done so much more. on top of that the anchors need to be a little more natural. one's a little quiet and the other ones fills in for her by screaming!
the judges barely judge. occasionally they might say "you could have done better" or "it needed a little more" but other than that either they laugh while the performance is taking place and then give extremely good marks or standing ovation for a performance that was nothing extraordinary.
just my opinion, but the little kids in the youtube videos dance better!

I don't think they could have done much better in a country that doesn't even encourage dance. So its not surprising to me that the dance performances are amateur. Like I said, this is no difference than dancing in your living room for your sibling's wedding. It's just that the dancers are now competing.
I don't think the goal is to have actually good professional performances. The prereq IS that you ARE an amateur.
So from the standpoint of being amateurs, most of what I see is actually cute, and some of it is pretty well done. Not sure if the clips you guys are seeing actually justifies that, but I've been watching for the past 4 weekends, and yeah some performances are terrible, but some are worth watching.
No madhuri for sure. But maybe some rising Reema's.

I may have got this wrong but whats up with host and hostess getting up and dancing after their done criticizing. I felt that was quiet embarrassing.

And to the people who keep bashing this program with the lame excuse of 'this is not our culture', culture is something that evolves with time, so please stay with time and get broadminded. And nachley is no strip show that doesnt fit with our culture. As long it is within boundaries of acceptable behaviour its fine. Please don't refer to old ptv shows, as it is the same as comparing apples with oranges. Secondly if you dont like this show simply dont watch it instead of spoiling it for others by bashing it just for your own satisfaction.

Kisi level ka kaam tou ho he sakta hai. ya sirf kawa bananay ka shouq hai. naqal main andhay. apna koi creative idea laain na jin ko nia culture evolve karnay ka shouq hai. sirf batain bana saktay hain ya naqal kar saktay hain, Aqal kaisay istemal karain jab wo hai he nahin.
