half of the election is over. 111 polling station. PMLN ahead by roughly 6500 votes. so looks like PMLN will win for sure with almost 12000-15000 votes but the voter turnout is roughly 30% less than 2013…so the lead shd be discussed in that context.
In any case, PTI has gained more votes than 2013, so good news for them but not enough to dismantle PMLN and that seems to be the story for PTI in punjab. always shows enough vote bank but not good enough to secure victory.

PMLN ahead with 13000 votes after 194 polling stations
voters turnout roughly 40% less than 2013. So if we had 2013 turnout, PMLN lead would be around 20K, which is significantly less than 2013 elections when PMLN won by 40K votes.
but on the other hand, PTI claimed that things will be different this time after Panama episode and that people will reject nawaz sharif. this was the thesis of Imran khan and PTI but that didn’t happen and PMLN secured this seat which it has for last 33 years.
so i think both parties can celebrate. PTI for reducing defeat margin and for PMLN for claiming a sizable victory despite panama fiasco.

by the way loved the passionate door-door campaign run by yasmin rashid…she worked very hard but PTI top leadership sort of abandoned her. alleem khan was the biggest culprit who remained inactive. jehangir tareen could not participate directly as he is sitting MNA but he could have supported more by giving more resources. Ch sarwar did a good job and so did Ijaz Ch.

can you believe that 50 yr old party PPP could not even secure 3rd spot and a 50-day old religious party Millie muslim league secured the 3rd position earning around 5000 votes . this is 100% PMLN vote which went away

Army establishment interfering here and there. they launched banned terrorist organizations under a new political slogan millie muslim league and gave them full resources and helped then winning over 5000 votes. these were PMLN votes.
second, PMLN now blaming that some of his key 10-12 polling agents were abducted few days ago, which reduced its margins but it is just an allegation at this point and needs to be verified.

Nawaz isn’t going any where but the corrupt *******s and madarchods in GHQ are on world notice. Nothing happened to lead. Less turn out , tactics to intimidate and still win by 20k. Nawaz is the future. He will be president and will manage who is Pm. The PM was in London to take guidance.

Didn’t let people vote, slow down voting. It’s ok we are not PTI. Fact is that. 20k ish victory after 5 madarchods made mockery of law to DQ NS, all army power, tv channels and 43 candidates to decimate vote still failed. I am proud of the result but I need to a Punjabi nationalism wave to start.

one example, near Laxmi Chowk, their were thousands of voters standing in line for i guess more than 3 hours, i dropped my friend their to vote and told him to call me once he is done, that guy couldn’t vote despite standing in que for 3 hours…
few family members also showed their frustration when they took their vote-parchi from PMLN, the polling officer misguided them by telling them they dont have their vote here and later in the day vote was in same polling station…

This happens when you transfer 40K plus votes to the constituency to do pre poll rigging and still win by only 12K.
