How long generally they take to deliver ur finished albums/videos?

I had to travel back to Canada and had informed them, so they took about a week to 10 days to deliver my albums. We didn't have a video so don't know what the timeline would be like on that.

I read Aromatic comments when i had choosen myk for my wedding coverage & didnt care bcoz during booking yasir was very humble & sweet! Now i wish i shud hav listened to her & not wonder why the hell I chose MYK. I am extremely dissatisfied with the event coverage & photoshoot. Its horrible not like the one dats on their website or facebook page(which had lured me to book them)!

Moreover their policy of not showing the pictures for selection is just not called for! they called us that pictures r here , we went & were handed over da album displaying picz of the ones you don't want (as they are random pics of not-so-close family members) & not agreeing to change the pictures! Absolutely stubborn nature & when trying to call after taking both the albums they just dont pick up da fone & if some one does they ha a snobbish attitude! Extremely disappointing!!

indeed, **Kairo Studio **is best. Inner Life Photography is quite close to photojournalism approach.

^ agreed..but i heard Irfan is not taking event coverage anymore!

& i hve a concern here, I do want photojournalistic wedding coverage but at the same time I do want normal satge/posed pictures, like u normally have with ur family & relatives on the stage while doing different *rasms *but most of the photographers here these days either take totally stage pics or totally abstract pics! I want a combination of both! Can anybody suggest me a GOOD photographer? Who can balance between the usual/unusual photography?

Hey all,

MYK did the photoshoot and event coverage for my Nikkah in Feb of this year. I saw their portfolio and called Yasir from Canada; he was so humble and co-operative that I cancelled my booking with AFZL to book with him instead. I must say that I was very nervous after I did that, though, as it was a quick decision and I did not personally know of anyone who had hired them before. Thankfully, I don’t have regrets

Photoshoot: I’d give a 5* rating. He did a fabulous job and made it FUN!! We actually enjoyed our time at the studio - Yasir did not rush us at all, and we were so into it that we actually lost track of time till we got a call from parents that guests had arrived at the venue and we had to wrap up quickly :halo: Shoot results were awesome and several people who’ve viewed my album have inquired about MYK. Thanks Yasir bhai
Event coverage: We had a small event, and I will be honest in rating this as 4*. The shots were very well taken and the photographers were friendly and co-operative but there was room for slight improvement. Concerns were discussed post-event and MYK was understanding. I trust them to make up for it on my wedding!!
Video: We did not have video coverage so no comments on that.
Service: I’d rate this as a 6* if I could. Yasir bhai was veryyy humble, very friendly, and very co-operative. He works with your needs, and budget and will do what he could to accomodate you. Personalize your shoot and and takes into consideration your choice + concern as compared to pushing his thoughts onto you. Turnaround time to deliver the albums was also pretty quick, considering I was travelling back.

All in all, I will say I’m happy that I cancelled AFZL to go to MYK because not only did he do a great job, he also ensured that we don’t feel like a number, and actually gave us the personalized service and co-operation that anyone would want on their big day!! I don’t like the way other businesses in Pakistan communicate with clients - this was a very different experience :k:
I would recommend anyone having an event in Lahore to at least meet with Yasir before you book elsewhere. After my Nikkah experience, I’m not even looking at other options for my Wedding coverage in 2012.

Everyone speaks with their experience. There could be just one thing that would happen on that day that could mess it up and vice versa. :)

I'd recommend you to do your research and meet/speak with MYK and whichever other photographers you're considering. There's no harm (or cost!) to discuss. So discuss all your concerns with them and inquire about what they can offer you. Most important is that they understand what you're looking for beforehand so they know what your expectations are in terms of coverage, timeline, etc. That goes for all industries too, not just your photographer.
