Mashallah the teaser looks like the memory any girl who would love to watch back her wedding day! I am going to Pakistan in November for my wedding shopping, and have emailed several designers, including HSY, who all seem eager to please......I bet once I get there they are not sooooo eager! I do think they charge higher prices from ppl abroad as they think we are willing to pay extra........no offence to pakistani guppies in pakistan. My friend had her dress made by Maria B, which was amazing (it was the grey/pink one in her current collection). Brides these days are going for the more sophisticated look rather than the 'red clown' (what my fiance calls it) look. But its so difficult to get this balance given all the customs us pakistanis have - hard to pls the elders. I do hope i find all my outfits when im there, not really thought about colours etc..........as im open to any........apart from red! It would be lovely to see ur walima and mehndi outfits for some ideas. Like you Im happy to be marrying some one really special..........which makes everything u do sooooo much more worthwhile...........

Luckily my mother in law knows many people that live in Pakistan so we went to Meeras with them to make sure she didn't give us too high a price! Her prices however were on the expensive side, but it's worth it. I got about 6 outfits from her, she has such beautiful stuff, very feminie and very different to other designers in Pakistan, she was very unique in her styles.
I didn't have a great experience with HSY, we booked a meeting with him but he didn't turn up, hence why i basically told him to sod off and went elsewhere. I know many people who have been to his studio and have commented on his arrogance, his non-willingness to cooperate in terms of styles (it's his way or no way basically) and the '*****y' girls that work as his assistants, who know nothing, yet he gets them to meet clients when he can't be bothered to show up. Lol! But sure go to see him! His stuff is nice, however i much preffered Meeras's more feminine and classy outfits.
We actually had our wedding (nikkah) and walima together as i didn't want 2 seperate things, i thought it was pointless. We had the registry on a Saturday, then the following weekend which was the easter weekend, we had the mehndi on Friday evening, then the wedding on Sunday evening. We had the Nikkah, then my husband came to get me from my holding room and we made an entarnce into the hall together, then there was food, speeches, pictures etc and dancing. It really was the most wonderful wedding, i was very lucky that everything went perfectly. I will most definately put pictures on when i get them xx

hey can u argue with these designers to bring the price down? bcz they charge like an arm and leg.

You can probably get them down in price a bit but but the way they edit takes a long time. I think though it's worth paying extra for such a great memory.
