Seriously very pretty
Wow...I never thought I would get such a repsonse.
I always new I was going to wear something really different for my wedding......
Everything was custom picked by me....I put all my time and energy into designing the outfit and travelled to India (I really wanted to go to Pakistan but India for me was easier) worked with a designer at Sheetal. I designed the full outfit.......and put my trust into Amrita to co-ordinate the actual process. 3 weeks later I went in for approval process.......basically they did the embriodery on a napkin size swatch and made a test muslin skirt......I changed a few things with the embriodery I didnt like and a week later flew back to Toronto.......2 months later my outfit arrived.......packaged beautifuly with tissue in a huge box since the skirt was sooo huge and heavy.
I dont think these pics really do justice to the outfit........really its soo much prettier in real life...atleast to me :)
The material was imported silk...I realy havent seen silk like this on a lehenga...its more of a wedding gown ducchess silk
The embriodery is Swarovski crystal, Austrian Cyrstals, silver and gold thread work, dyed cut glass, glass beads and sequins.
The entire outfit is lined in ruby red silk/satin and the top ivory silk has cut work though out so the ruby colour silk lining comes though the cutwork and also everythign is piped in ruby red
The Princess Cut sleeve sleeve has hanging beads and crystal work.
The duppatta is the lightest part of the entire outfit......pure chiffon with a cap style embriodery and the length of the border 2 inches of embriodery and the width 4 inches.
the middle has a spray of sequins u cant tell in the pic.
The skirt is huge and had a custom made crinoline however I had a wedding gown crinoline I wore to get the fullness. The width of the skirt is wider then a queen size bed(so u get an idea how big and heavy the skirt was).
The jewellery was a pic from a magazine....the actual set was gold rubies and diamonds however I had a local Toronto jeweller replicate the set from pakistan in gold, rubies and cubic zirconias. It turned out even more beautiful then the pic.
The outfit cost 1.3 lakh Indian Rupees 3 yrs ago. Personally it was worth every penny and to this day I still have ppl coming upto me complimenting my outfit.
I actualy got married 3 yrs ago but am new to GS so thougth I would share.

Completely understand…this outfit is def diffrent therefore not for the masses.
sahinal ur outfit is really nice esply the skirt,,and its very diff... u looked so pretty MashaAllah....
frienze...dats was rude,,,if u didn't have nice wording for the dress...u shud have kept quiet...didn't have to use the scaling points....:)

I shared a part of my wedding with GS.....afterall it is a Wedding forum .......secondly I have no problem with your critiscm.......as I know my dress is not a typical lehenga/sharara for everyone to appreciate.....I wore a typical outfit on my valima and mehendi and luved them as well.
As for the lovely ladies who thought Firenze was rude.....Thank you........u guys are right in your own way however I really don't want this to become an argument back and fourth.
a few ppl who don't like it doesnt not change the fact that I have had tonnes of ppl who loved it........even copycat outfits after my wedding and brides to be requesting a look at it so they can have something similar done. I even had a Canadian Bridal magazine wanting to showcase my outfit........I turned it down since it would require me to also showcase my wedding.
No need to make an issue about an outfit I wore 3 yrs ago......just wanted to show something diffrent to new brides to be.........for a bit of inspiration or something like that.
