kashish: it was soooooo lovely on the beach at sunset.. there were not too many people there, and i went for a walk by myself. definitely a time to think of the special people in your life.
daagh: glad you enjoyed the pix. you know, we went up sinhagad on motorbikes, it was awesome! we did some trekking, and worked up a good appetite. then we sat under a copse of trees, and enjoyed a lunch served by the villagers - kanda bhaji (onion fritters) bhakri (roti made of jowar flour), zunka and dahi served in small clay pots - it was delicious!
very nice Phoenix, nice pictures and I am sure country too.
Welcome back!!!!

Is it true that Pune is the next big thing in IT and biotech after Bangalore and Hyderabad. I heard Sybase, Veritas, SAS, Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, e-Zest Solutions, AXA, GTL, Fluent Inc, Patni, CMS,Fluent Inc, Cummins and may companies have opened software development centres in Pune.
WITH plans to set up a biotech park in Pune and develop the Pune University into a Centre of Excellence, Maharashtra, Maharashtra has initiated a roadmap to emerge Pune as the country's leading biotech destination.
Any input from recent Pune visit?
coolio
Nice snaps :k:
thanks ? PCG and Mehroo
Maanus, i’m hearing something along those lines also, ke in the next deceade Pune will emerge as teh next big thing in IT. There is a new IT park that opened up some months ago in Hinjewadi. I have heard that Infosys is one of the companies there and will be hiring about 5000 people in the coming months. About Pune University i really don’t know… but i briefly visited Symbiosis, which is a very good business school with a very diverse student body. Many students i saw on campus were international students. A lot of chinese, europeans and blacks there.
“With multi-million dollars serviced from this centre, the Infy development facility in Pune works on client accounts from Canada, East Coast of U.S., APAC and Europe in diverse segments like the financial and retail services. To cater to the growth plans, the company would ramp up its present head count of 2200 people to add 5000 software professionals. The IT firm has acquired 100 acres of land in Phase II of the Pune Infotech Park, Hinjewadi to house the expanded facility. The company has so far invested Rs.126 crore in the Pune facilities.”
