You won’t believe but we didn’t ate anything the whole day of our Nikkah lol but after the shoot was ended we changed into jeans and shirt and went to a cozy lil restaurant called Marrakesh.
And I don’t even remember what was at reception coz we have arranged for buffet so there was just lots of random stuff, the Brooklyn Blackout cake was to die for though

Amazing! I salute you for concentrating on the marriage and not the wedding hoopla only. You kept it real and are an inspiration to many. Good that you stayed away from the wedding extravange and will be out of debt. With the amount that people spend on wedding festivities they could easily buy a brand new car or even put a down payment on a house.
You make a very cute couple mashallah ! Love your hubby's shalwar khameez. It is without the crazy kaam and necklaces that grooms have been wearing of late.

would you say it was easier to have the kinda wedding you both wanted cuz neither side of parents were there? friends and siblings will allow you to plan and have exactly waht you want.... parents arent as forgiving hehe.

Can't say anything about his parents as I never met them, as for my parents; they have been very supportive of all us siblings, they not only let us make our own decisions but also respect them if we are able to prove our point logically lol
Like you know they never ever said a single word about why I am not getting married when girls my age have college going kids despite the ramblings of the society, I guess to my parents the khushi of their kids matters more then what people might say :)
