Re: my sleeveless dresses

I am not judging anything at all. I dont care what she wears. I just thought i should share what i know so that might help making a decision. By the way i am sure that she was going to wear sleeveless dresses in front of mehrams and gfs.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

I've finally figured out why you're so anti-Pakistani male. Its because they see right through you and your baysharmi. They know what kind of muslim you are and what kind of values you have been given. The ladies of islam are encouraged to cover their heads and here you are exposing your upper arms for the whole world to see. Your actions will attract attention for the wrong reasons (if you know what I mean).

All you people encouraging her should be ashamed to call your selves muslim. Just because we live in the West DOES NOT mean we have to take up their unethical culture.

Only those girls/ladies are respected who cover themselves up; those who don't and expose themselves are viewed as sex objects.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

So true Anil Bhai. But watch out for these ABCDs, they will come up with some BS to justify what they r doing.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Anil, how long have you known her? Have you seen her in real, as to how she dresses up? How do you know that she's not just testing people's reaction and responses or doing another sociological survey? Why are you so quick to judge and call someone with all the names you mentioned above?

"Believers, let no man among you mock another man; the man being mocked is usually superior to the man who mocks. Let no woman among you mock another woman; the woman being mocked is usually superior to the woman who mocks. Do not slander one another, nor call each other by rude names; it is wrong that someone who has embraced the faith, should be called by a rude name. Those who do not repent, are sinners."

Quran, Al-Hujurat, Surah 49:11

You don't even know if she is Muslim? If she's a Muslim, have you taken on yourself God's job to judge and evaulate people's actions? You could simply express your disliking for sleevless dresses without having to condemn or judge anyone. Are you so easy to loose patience? DO you think you can win people's heart or teach them your good moral values by attacking like that? Think again!

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Dush, Sweetie, Shweetdreamz is a sister, not brother! She just recently chose this avatar, wonder why :)

Re: reactions such as the above.. I suspect she starts these topics on purpose to incite such response.. its quite pathetic really..

Re: my sleeveless dresses

I don't think I've ever had a better response to my posts than this. I'm speechless. The ayat really touched my heart and the follow up made all the sense in the world. Well Done :)

The bolded part really hit home.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Oy hoi, kya baat hai!

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Wearing sleeveless!!!! that's the biggest crime.

Why don't you simply tell lies, cheat and be currupt like all the other good religious people in this world.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Anil, I am tempted to edit your post. You're making alot of personal attacks. It's great to have your strong point of view but you're going a bit too far.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

I think its the first post where he actually went after someone. Theres a point when someone can't take the negative opinions or actions about pakistani/muslims.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

world is a colorful diverse place. let it be as is. if u don't like girls with sleeveless dresses then fine. u are entitled to ur opinion and they are to their ways of living. live and let others live.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

Something to think about:

Can one call themselves a proper muslim if they expose their bodies, which has been forbidden to us by Allah (swt)?

Is it fair to say that one has proper values if he/she shows off/reveals their bodies for the world to see?

I'm not judging people (astagfrillah) or atleast I don't mean to but its something to think about.

The ayat that Larki (NY) posted really made me feel guilty (I think I'm getting soft; lol) but I'm still not in favour of sleeveless clothing (Not just for ladies but also for men).

Khair, Dushwari I don't know you and I don't know what kind of muslim you are but sleeveless clothing is a form of exposure that is, in my opinion, not right. I apologize for any remarks that I've made and the intention was never to hurt.

Re: my sleeveless dresses

:bizz:

good religious people don’t do that, but good religious people don’t call themselves, good and regligious :halo:

as i have just said Anil, it’s not the people who CALL THEMSELVES good religious people, who are the most good religious people…it’s by their actions that you come to know if someone is good and religious, not by appearances (read the thread about hijaban girls in american university doing all sorts of haraam actions while claiming to be religious, for example)

Re: my sleeveless dresses

I do find it interesting that some people find very short cap sleeves acceptable but they consider sleeveless outfits completely inappropriate. Why does their sense of modesty/decency kick in right then for one inch of skin?

Re: my sleeveless dresses

^^ its similar to the saari factor.. infact, its the same.. regardless HOW small and revealing your blouse is, but if the belly button is showing, u will be considered baysharam.. :konfused:
