We as Muslims can see that in the west rape, sexual harassment, fornication, sexual diseases, illegitimate kids, abortion, all exist because of the social system not being defined correctly.
Although I agree with some of your points, showkat, some of your other points have raised concerns. I am deeply disturbed at your lack of insight into apparently obvious world problems. The social problems you listed above - do they not happen in muslim countries where women are dressed way less scandelously than in so-called 'western' countries?
Secondly, your comment on the right for a female to even veil her eyes reeks of extremism. No where does Islam condone covering up of the eyes. Even if one were to strictly follow the Hadith literature in regards to the veil, one would see the Prophet reportedly (note: reportedly) said to keep the hands and feet and eyes uncovered.
If we're going to write about these issues, lets at least get our facts straight.
