Ok ok...it's not. :-) I was kidding.
Me sis had a similar car ... model was 1990 ... I used it when she was away on vacation and believe me I liked every minute I spent with it ... its got more ground clearance than the average car (atleast my accord) and the seats are so comfortable ... its like someone is holding you or something ... and you don't get tired after a long drive .... its a lovely car indeed ... :biggthumb
Good luck with it bud !
whats the mileage on it? These cars are like tanks - they go on for ever.
Ohh that’s a good ride :k:
Congrats AJ :k:
We bought a 740 Station wagon back in '88. We liked it so much we bought another one in '92.
Awwww Volvo . My love .... Its a lakar hazam pathar hazam type of a baby ... This model was the best one for many reasons ...
By the way I need some suggestions about chevy Impala ..

Get an ex police chev impala. Cheap as hell and built too bloody tough. Plus bharam ka bharam. Get a white one with plain black steel rims (no hubcaps) and stick a few extra antennae on the hood. And then watch everyone around you slow down, as you pass them, while they stretch their necks and look over into your car to see if youre an undercover.
:D :D :D

aray u shud have bought a lexus or a BMW :halo:
waise its not ur fault…burgers hotay hee kanjoos haen…
Thanks guys … it has 135K miles on it. Considering the age that averages around 9K a year which is pretty good for an old car. I will probably put 5-6K on it in a year as I ride my bike to work; so after 10 years it will still be kickin’. ![]()
irem, my burger friend, the problem with you is that you are not only a burger, you are also a woman, so cars are alien to you. This is a Volvo, it will run forever if I take good care of it. Dhaka start is the Suzuki you own ![]()
I think mine had 170k on it when I wrote it off - it was a beast
ahmadjee If you dont mind asking, how much have you paid for this ?
2 grand
The timing belt was changed at 100K and the tires are a year old. I have records that go back to 1992/93. The car is in good condition (as appose to excellent) because the original paint is fading, even though I think it looks cool. The KBB value in good condition is $2600. So I couldn't pass the opportunity.
Does it have a sister car for the same price? I need one too. It isn;t too noisy is it?
Congratulations!
Other than your collection of cheap mountain bikes, is this really your first four-wheeler? If it is, then double mubarakbad. First car always evokes the fondest memories.
Mein Chup, cars don’t have sisters :o
Faisal Bhai, I don’t have a ‘collection’ cheap mountain bikes, I have only one. The other one is a Fuji road runner. Do you know how much a new one costs? At least a grand for a fully loaded one ![]()
Anyway, this is not my first car. I used to have an 82 Corolla station wagon. Then I moved to a 86 Celica (oh I loved that car
) Then to a 2001 Honda which I still own but can’t drive (ahh .. married people). Now this is my first Volvo!! I am excited because I have co-workers who own Volvos that are touching 300K with the original engine and I am planning to do the same!!
I don't think the automaker of this car will be very happy with your purchase. They'll have to figure out a new slogan for their commercials. It used to be, " I am glad my wife drives a Volvo"!
atleast you have a car :k:
