I think friendship is the base for any marriage because looks/passion can fade. Kids will grow up and become independent so theres no need to stay together for “kids sake.”
Being friends with your hubby doesnt mean that u have to spend every waking hour with him, and that ur girlfriends and his buddies take a backseat (though it may seem that way for the first few months of the marriage.)
WheN i was in Pak this year, I was talking to 1 of my friends from here coz he was in Pak too and while I enjoyed tlaking to him, i missed talking to my female friends.
Theres people in ur life that you love/respect but dont have that easy friendship with such as siblings or parents. I think there is nothing sadder than having that type of rleationship (no real friendship) with ur husband where u dont like them. i hope that made sense

having a good friendship or even best friends with spouse does not mean that one does not have own life and interests, yes you need space and yes yo have seperate hobbies and circles as well as common hobbies and circles, but being able to enjoy each others' company, having common interests and hobbies is a major plus.

actually when you marry a person he becomes real close to you more than any best friend in life. there are things that are more visible in that relationship other than friendship …

I have a couple of best friends and believe me, I still have breathing room.

i think men and women define best friends differently. which is precisely why women end up saying "but i thought we were best friends" when their husband just wanna have guys night out.
for girls best friends are joined at the hip and they tell each other EVERYTHING. i dont want that with my husband. its just not healthy.
