My dad says sugar is really bad for him. But whenever I clean his room, I find an empty box of gulab jamun under his bed. Parents are liars

White spots as in vitiligo? I've never read on any correlation between milk/fish and the disease. It's more than likely just a myth.
Re: My hubby, his medical stories, and other tales...
That is absolutely positively true , I know many girls from my own teenage and youth years . They had faces full of acne but within a few month of their wedding they got rid of their acne and looked prettier than pretty woman.
I think there could something to this rumour. I know a couple of girls who had real problems with acne and were always treating it with one thing or another but a few months after marriage it seems they're all cleared up. Funnily enough I never thought sex could be an actual reason for this but it fits.
I hate how in our culture we have these 'garam' foods. 'Beta coffee na piya karo garmiyon mein'. Or 'itni garmi mein fish kha rahey ho?'. Seriously people, WTF does weather have to do with food.

That might be because acne tends to go away with age in some people. My mother had acne but her skin cleared up when she entered her twenties (before she got married).
I used to break out a lot but now I don't really break out anymore.
Re: My hubby, his medical stories, and other tales...
^ can it be related to hormones in anyway cuz if it is then it makes sense
Re: My hubby, his medical stories, and other tales...
Hmm no there is no link between milk/rice consumption and mucus production. Scientific studies have busted this myth.

They probably started taking birth control, which girls sometimes take for acne.

This boggles my mind so much, how some foods are "garam" and stuff. I always thought maybe there was some scientific reasoning behind it but I have yet to come across it. Can someone please explain this belief?
